Well, I was away in Baltimore for a few days, so I was unable to post. Those of you looking for an apology can read this.
Anyway, you’re probably asking “How could you not get internet? Most hotels have Wi-Fi, and some even provide a nice, wired connection!” Well, I’ve got some miniature Things That Need To Die from my hotel experience:
- Paying $10 a day for Wi-Fi internet because the power cable for the in-room router is missing despite notifying housekeeping of the issue. Twice.
- Paying $3 for a bottle of “purified water” that’s sitting on a table in 90 degree heat with no way to know how long its been there. Also, there’s a sink you can use for free.
- Having a triangular in-ground pool that could maybe hold a family of five to make your hotel seem more desirable when it’s a farce.
Oh well. I guess that’s the $60 a night difference.
I’m glad to be back.
