Sorry, station WJJJ, I just can’t take you seriously when you say you’ve got the best song variety, or that’ll you play anything. Why is this hard to believe? Well, my definition of variety is not “mainstream hits from the ’70s to the ’00s with the occasional playing of ‘Dominick the Christmas Donkey’“.
No, my idea of true variety is playing anything and everything. That’s right, I want to hear some gangsta rap right after this bagpipe track. Let’s listen to some Big Band while waiting for samples from a Norwegian cover band. Maybe conclude the hour with some soft rock, closely followed by a speed metal / “world” music mash-up.
There’s a lot of room for improvement in today’s variety. Until I hear a true mixture of songs from an over-the-air radio station, I cannot justify the gross manipulation of this word in your description.
